Role Description

  • The Content Creator will be responsible for developing and producing viral, fascinating and compelling content, mostly video, across various digital platforms to promote our brand, services, destinations, and special offers.
  • You will work with the marketing and corporate communications teams to conceptualize, create, and execute video content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and social media platforms to increase visibility, reach, and engagement. Uphold brand guidelines and ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all content channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Content Creation

  • Produce high-quality video content for our website, blogs, social media and other marketing channels.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform content creation efforts.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute social media content calendars to maintain a consistent brand presence and engage with our audience on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Copywriting:

  • Write clear, concise, and creative copy for video ads and other promotional clips.

Video Production:

  • Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit engaging video content, including promotional videos, travel guides, employee content, customer testimonials.
  • Create interesting and shareable infographics, memes, and animations.

Content Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative content strategies aligned with business objectives, target audience preferences, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and generate innovative ideas for content campaigns, promotions, and initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, digital marketing trends, and best practices in video content creation to enhance the company’s content strategy.

SEO Optimization:

  • Optimize content for search engines to improve visibility, drive organic traffic, and increase brand awareness.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor content performance metrics, analyze data, and generate regular reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future content strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics using analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.

Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging standards to maintain a consistent brand image and voice across all channels.

Stay Updated:

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content marketing, social media, and digital advertising.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including graphic designers, other videographers, and photographers, to ensure content is produced efficiently and meets quality standards.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience (with a solid portfolio) as a Content Creator in a digital marketing environment- freelance, agency or in-house- with heavy emphasis on video production.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in creating multimedia content using video editing, graphic design and content creation tools.
  • Proficiency in videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro,
  • Final Cut Pro, etc) and in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for content creation.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, and social media platforms.
  • Effective project management and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with keyword research and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and backlink profile to assess the impact of content on search engine visibility and website traffic.

Content Production Efficiency:

  • Measure the speed and efficiency of content creation processes, including content ideation, production, and publishing timelines.

Brand Sentiment:

  • Monitor sentiment analysis and brand mentions across social media channels to gauge audience perception and sentiment towards the brand.

ROI of Paid Campaigns:

  • Assess the return on investment (ROI) of paid advertising campaigns by tracking key metrics such as cost per click (CPC), click-through rate (CTR), and conversion rate.

Brand affinity:

  • The measurable impact of your content in driving brand love.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Solicit feedback from customers to measure satisfaction with content and its relevance.

Competitor Benchmarking:

  • Compare content performance metrics with competitors to identify strengths and weaknesses.
